WNBA: Friday Game Previews & Predictions

WNBA: Friday Game Previews & Predictions

There are three evening games on Friday’s WNBA schedule.

Thursday, I went 2-0 with a couple of under bets for 3 units. I’m looking to add to the moment on Friday.

Connecticut Sun vs. Minnesota Lynx Prediction

The Connecticut Sun (17-9) head back out on the road to face the last-place Minnesota Lynx (10-7) at Target Center.

My Numbers:

Conneticut Sun 160.3
Minnesota Lynx +2.5

To me, there’s no value to betting on this game. There’s a question of whether or not the reigning MVP Jonquel Jones will play because of COVID protocols. If she doesn’t play, my number moves 4.3 points to Minnesota Lynx -1.8.

UPDATE: Jonquel Jones has been ruled out.

Dallas Wings vs. Chicago Sky Prediction

The Dallas Wings (11-14) travel north to face the first-place Chicago Sky (20-6) at Wintrust Arena.

My Numbers:

Dallas Wings 162.7
Chicago Sky -7.7

I quickly bet two units on the opening total of 168.5 with an under. If this market continues to move north, I’ll put another unit down at 170.

Seattle Storm vs. Phoenix Mercury Prediction

The Seattle Storm (17-9) visit the Phoenix Mercury (11-16) for a clash at the Footprint Center.

My Numbers:

Seattle Storm 161.2
Phoenix Mercury +0.2

I’m going to bet Phoenix at home as underdogs. The question is, when? Right now, they’re +6. I put a little down on that, but I’m waiting to see where the market takes it.

My Best Bets

Dallas Wings vs Chicago Sky: Total

It looks like the sports books opened with a bad line at 168.5. I took two units under 168.5 with the expectation this is going to move south.

Under 168.5 (-110)

Units: 2

Seattle Storm vs. Phoenix Mercury: Spread

My number has this game as a pick-em. I grabbed a +6 for a single unit, but I don’t expect that number to last long. There’s value down to +5 for me.

Phoenix Mercury +6 (-110)

Units: 1
