This is Denver Nugget’s first game back after the All-Star Break and first meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2021 season. Denver went into the All-Star Break, winning and covering four straight road games.

Memphis started the second half of their season with an easy win over Washington. It was their fourth cover in a row. Jonas Valanciunas had a massive game with 29 points and 20 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic is having an MVP-like season. His matchup against Valanciunas will be key to the outcome of this game. If Nikola can play his game, Denver will be tough to beat.

Memphis should exploit Denver with their midrange game, but don’t expect many threes from the Grizzlies. The Griz also have already shaken off the All-Star Break rust.

Before the All-Star Break, the Nuggets had the best offense and fifth-best defense in the league. The offense has struggled throughout the season for Memphis. And a brief look through recent games shows that Memphis is unreliable.

I'm taking under 229.

I also lean Denver -3 and will actively be looking for an in-game betting opportunity on Denver. I'm not playing it pregame because I'm wary of betting on a team with seven days of rest.
